American acquaintances have pointed out that today is thanksgiving.

Since I'm sitting in a small room at my desk, I'm now officially lonely.

That shouldn't get me down however because I've been lonely since about 2003 but in the singular place called "foreign" (fn) its even more obvious. School keeps me busy, there are people. But as I was watching the finale of The Desertbus for Hope (www.desertbus.org) with all the people happy at the outcome of their ordeal, I was feeling just a little bit pathetic.

Then I remembered that self-pity is dumb so I went downstairs and make myself a delicious meal because in the months of living alone (and the months of flatsharing before) I learned how to cook. If you can't I suggest you do soon, cos its awesome.

And now just another day before the weekend, which will be yet another struggle between slacking and the need to learn insane amounts of stuff. Why do I study this again? Ah yes, because I still think it was a good idea. I hope I never forget why I'm doing all this.

At least my New Years Eve is sorted out. After last years very.. unusual (for me, anyway) day I now fall back into (sorta) old habits and spend the time with the wonderful people from Baldur's Gate Germany. Its such a pity that my friends are spread all across the maps.
